Rastafari have a strong affinity with farming as it is a way to sustain one self and to be self reliant also making sure that foods that are planted are free from poison as pesticides and that the fertilizers used are plant based and not chemical or manure from certain animals. It is also one of the main sources for income together with hand crafts and music.

Being close to nature and having raspect for nature usually make Rastafari excellent farmers as we take good care of the crops by giving plentiful attention and love which give better results in yields and taste. Through the experience we have with farming we have a lot of knowledge of growing techniques and about the use of natural pesticides and fertilizers and can therefore be good examples for other farmers if they would like to follow this way of farming.
