Greetings and most High Blessings, this page is livecated to the Elders within Rastafari. The Elders deserve extra attention and Raspect for being the forerunners of something as wonderful like Rastafari. The Elders have and had tremendous impact on human society throughout the years, although it is not acknowledged as such by most people in the world, InI as Rastafari know the truth of this. We have seen the works that have been done by InI Elders, the Discipline that was needed, the Willpower, the Faith, the Endurance, Hardship, the Heart, Love and also the Joy that comes from this commitment…Without this devotion Rastafari wouldn’t be as we know it today, or maybe not even be here right now. It is because of the Elders that the Livety of Rastafari was able to stay alive to this day. It is only Natural that we should at least be very thankful for this Fact.
When Something like Rastafari is around for such a log time, the Impact of that on the world as a whole can be easily seen. We don’t need to prove anything to see that this is reality. It just takes some common sense, or a good explanation to show this.

REGGAE THANKS TO THE ELDERS

The message of Rastafari has spread across the world through Reggae, there is almost nobody on the Earth that hasn’t heard at least one Reggae song in their life. Maybe there are ones who never listened to another Reggae song after hearing the first one, just because they don’t like it and put of the radio or tv when they hear it. But most people in the world seem to enjoy Reggae, and have listened to many Reggae songs in their life. Bob Marley is one of the most popular singers and personalities this world has ever had, and He has most definitely had the most influence on peoples life’s compared to All other musicians. There Might have been artists who seem to have sold more records or get more internet hits. But Bob Marley didn’t live long and his music has been bootlegged more then other musicians, and most probably, (as usual when it comes to InI) his popularity is underrated and suppressed by the media. So the numbers don’t represent reality, but it only takes a bit of common sense to see the realty of this statement. Just listen to the songs the other Most popular musicians have made, like Elvis, the Beatles, The Roling Stones, U2, Madonna, Michael Jackson, Jay z, Beyonce, Justin Bieber etc. and compare them Lyrically with Bob Marley. There is no comparison, no one even comes close, the difference is Really big.
What we can see is that this fact is greatly appreciated and Respected in the World by a wide variety of people from different cultures, and not only in the western countries. And this is only Bob Marley…There are and have been so much Reggae artists that have spread the Teachings of Rastafari throughout the world, that once again it doest take much common sense or imagination to see the Impact that we have had and still have in the world.
Reggae would not be here without the Elders of Rastafari, The Reggae Artists got their knowledge and inspiration from the Rastaman and Woman around them who were Rastafari long before Reggae got created. If This foundation would have been weak, then Reggae wouldn’t have been such a strong force as mentioned. So we have to give Thanks and Raspect for InI Elders for this.

TRAILS AND TRIBULATION

For the one’s who think that Rastafari live and have lived an easy life in paradise, in peace and Respected by our surroundings. We have to mention that this is not always the case now, and definitely not in the early stages of the Livety. It has become a lot better through the struggle the Elders had to endure. When Rastafari first emerged We got treated as criminals and low people not to be respected. politicians outlawed Rastafari, police would beat InI, cut of InI Dreadlocks and put InI in jail for no reason at all. Many Early Rastafari got mistreated and even murdered. Not only did we get the fight from politicians and police, it was the media, as well as the church and because of this negative approach towards Rastafari, family and friends would also have a problem with InI so from all sides it was made difficult to practice InI Faith. Because of this oppression it was made difficult to flourish and live comfortable lives, so Rastafari have always been on the poor side of life, usually struggling one way or the other. This goes on until this day, and although it is becoming better it always seems like Rastafari have to deal with rejection and difficulties. When ones come into the livety now having the Path laid out by the Elders it is relative easy to overcome most obstacles in these days. But for the ones who are Rastafari for 50, 60, 70 years, it was/is a long and hard journey. Unfortunately circumstances haven’t improved so much that we are able to take care of the Elders in the way we would like to. The Elders Especially live in poor circumstances and can get difficulties in the later stages of their lives. The Elders are less capable of taking care of their own as they have had the last 30 to 70 years, as it is only natural that this becomes harder in the Elderly stages of Life, not being able to work to provide a living. The Elders at some point become more dependant on their surroundings. The only problem is that the surroundings of Elderly Rastafari are often not so great that this is easy to do. It is therefore very unfortunate to see how some Elders still have to struggle when ones are 60 to 90 years old while they have meant so much for the Livety.
We as Rastafari Community could make it possible that InI Elders don’t have to struggle as much as some are doing now. Elders are transgressing too early in some cases just because there is not enough assistance from their surroundings, which should be InI as Rastafari Community.

BLESSINGS

Give thanks to the Most High YAH Rastafari Emperor Haile Selassie I that the Life of a Rastafari is not always difficult as mentioned above. Although Rastafari have traditionally always lived in poor circumstances, we have riches, wealth and blessings that cant be bought with money and is worth much more then that. We have the knowing that we Represent the highest form of living which is livecation to the Most High YAH, that we stand for righteousness and positivity, and are here to assist in the upliftment of humanity. Even though some might think that we as Rastafari are always struggling and having a bad time because we are being downpresssed as mentioned above, there is also the Positive side of InI livety, even though we have to endure these things we are able to handle them with relative ease because the Livety of Rastafari also fills InI with joy, happiness and many blessings, these blessings outweigh the struggles we have. So people definitely don’t have to feel sorry for Rastafari or see it as something negative because we are not Raspected by others. We are Proud, Strong, and hold InI heads High. The Elders are the best examples of this because they have been around so long and still uphold the Livety without cease, that is very encouraging for the younger Rastafari, as we can expect that these Elders would have left the Livety if there were only negative aspects to it, instead we can be sure that this is not the case because of the examples we have in the form of InI Elders.

ASSIST THE ELDERS

Even Though the Elders have had fruitful lives in most cases, there can come a time when one is not able to take care of one self anymore because of age. When we are physically fit and strong it is relative easy for ones to survive and take care of one self. But when this becomes more difficult or not possible at all, we as Rastafari should take over this care and make sure that these Elders who have showed so much commitment are assisted in whatever is needed. At the moment we have the Word Sound Power Collective who are taking responsibility for setting up a system to be of assistance for those Elders who really are in need. This has been working well for many years and has proven to be a trustworthy and responsible organization, doing wonderful works for the Elders within Rastafari, assisting with healthcare, and housing mostly. People from all over the world have gracefully given donations and it is heart warming to see how ones in serious need have a way to get this assistance.
Never the less we still want to encourage ones and ones to make more and larger donations, as there needs to be more funds to increase the level of assistance that can be granted. The assistance given now are the most needed cases and can only go to a certain level when in most cases much more assistance is needed then what is being asked for. So it will be gracefully appreciated if this can be achieved in due time. The Consciousness of people is growing so we expect that this message will be taken to heart at some point and we might be able to see more of these type of wonderful works that Word Sound Power Collective do.
The same Organization is also responsible for Wisemind publications, where books from the Elders can be bought of which the proceedings go directly to the Elders. A book only costs 5$ so this is a good trade we think, we can get the Ancient knowledge an Elder has shared with InI and be a part of this endeavour to lift up the Elders who are in need of Assistance.

Blessed love, Rastafari
